Product Introduction

Vacuum concentration is a process in which the material is heated under reduced pressure, causing the moisture to evaporate rapidly and form vapor, while the resulting secondary steam is continuously removed. This continuously increases the concentration of the product until it reaches the desired level. The equipment used to carry out this process is known as vacuum concentrators. Double-effect vacuum concentrators are suitable for liquid evaporation, concentration, and recovery applications in industries such as traditional Chinese medicine, Western pharmaceuticals, and light manufacturing.

Product Structure

The double-effect vacuum concentrator consists of a first-effect heater, a first-effect evaporator, a second-effect heater, a second-effect evaporator, a shell-and-tube condenser, a liquid receiving tank, a buffer tank, a water-ring vacuum pump, a circulating water tank, and other components.

Product Features

1. Vacuum concentration lowers the boiling temperature of raw materials during evaporation, thereby avoiding high‑temperature processing and helping to preserve their nutritional components; it is particularly well suited for concentrating heat‑sensitive materials such as milk.
2. The reduction in the boiling temperature increases the temperature difference between the heating steam and the feed material, thereby enhancing the heat transfer rate, accelerating the evaporation process, and boosting production capacity.
3. Conditions have been created for utilizing secondary steam and conserving energy, such as in double-effect and multi-effect concentration processes.
4. Vacuum concentration is carried out under low-temperature conditions, with a small temperature difference between the equipment and the surrounding environment, thereby minimizing heat loss during operation.

Product Categories

1. Classified according to the number of times the heating steam is utilized: single-effect concentrator, double-effect concentrator, triple-effect concentrator.

2. Classified according to the flow of the concentrated feed liquid: single‑pass vacuum concentration equipment and recirculating vacuum concentration equipment; the latter is further divided into natural circulation and forced circulation types.

3. Classified by operational continuity: batch-type vacuum concentration equipment and continuous-type vacuum concentration equipment.
